Which book’s world would be the absolute worst to live in?
There are so many things happening in the world that, if I allow myself to think about everything at once, I could easily become overwhelmed.
This is something I have been reminding myself lately:
Worrying does not take away tomorrow’s troubles. It takes away today’s peace.
There will always be things happening beyond my control. Things I cannot predict, prevent, or change.
That does not mean I should become careless. I should still be concerned. I should still prepare, learn, and take action where I can.
But I am learning that there is a difference between being concerned and constantly worrying.
Too much worrying can consume the very energy I need to move forward. It can leave me mentally exhausted, distracted, and sometimes even apathetic.
Even failure can become a source of worry. If I keep replaying every mistake I have made and worrying about everything that could go wrong, I may become too afraid to build anything new.
I do not have everything figured out. But I am learning to focus more on what I can control, take things one step at a time, and give myself permission to breathe.
The world will continue to have its problems.
I just do not want to lose my peace trying to carry all of them at once.
If this speaks to you, take it as a reminder to focus on what you can control, let go of what you cannot, and give yourself room to breathe.
Share this with someone who may need the reminder today.
